Lois L. Vinson

Lois L. Vinson, age 81, of White Heath, passed away at 5:45 PM, Saturday, July 25, 2009 at Kirby Hospital in Monticello. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home in Monticello with Roger Dyson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Ingram Cemetery, White Heath. Mackey-Wright Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Lois was born August 22, 1927 in Bement, the daughter of Reed and Opal (Olinger) Lawson. She married Don L. Vinson Sr. May 6, 1950 in Bement, Illinois. Lois is survived by her son James D. Vinson of White Heath, Illinois, sisters: Doris Coffey and Margie Ganley both of Bement, Illinois and brother: Lee Lawson of Bement, Illinois. She was preceded by her parents, husband, and son Don L. Vinson Jr. and 1 brother. Lois was a housewife and a cook for White Heath Grade School for over 26 years. She was a member of the White Heath United Methodist Church and Kirby Hospital Auxiliary. Lois loved fishing and the outdoors. Lois passed away with her loyal companion Duke (her dog) at her side. Memorials may be made to the Bement Healthcare Center, or Kirby Hospital.
