Lois Lilly Obituary
Lois Lilly, age 94, of Monticello, died Friday, February 23, 2007, at Piatt County Nursing Home in Monticello, IL.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at the Monticello Township Cemetery with Rev. Michael Eischen officiating. No visitation. Mackey-Wright Funeral Home in Monticello is handling the arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Piatt County Nursing Home for the New Assisted Living Facility.
Ms. Lilly was born October 4, 1912 in Monticello, IL. the daughter of Frank and Anna (Biesecker) Lilly.
Surviving are her nephews; Paul and Everett Dale Lilly both of Monticello, Jack Lilly of Oreana, and Roger Lilly of Grass Valley, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers (Archie and Noel Lilly).
Ms. Lilly was a retired assistant professor of curriculum and instruction at Illinois State University. Ms. Lilly had been on the faculty since 1957 and served in the areas of supervising off-campus student teaching and as a teacher in education psychology and elementary education. She served in the United States Army WAC and was a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church.
