Lloyd Kenneth Turner, 86 of Cisco, Illinois passed away at 8:10 A.M. Wednesday, August 06, 2008 at the Bement Health Care Center in Bement, Illinois. Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM. Sunday, August 10, 2008; at the Mackey-Wright Funeral with Larry W. Turner Officiating. Visitation will be 3:00 to 4:00 PM. Sunday, August 10, 2008 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Croninger Cemetery, in Cisco, Illinois with graveside Military Rites by the Craig-Reed American Legion Post #1181 of Cisco. Lloyd was born July 4, 1922 in Pawnee, Illinois the son of William Homer and Nellie (Swift) Turner. He married his wife Leahdell (Suttory) on June 20, 1943, in St. Charles, MO. Surviving is his wife Leahdell of Cisco, sons; Larry W. Turner of Salt Lake City, UT and Lloyd Kenneth Turner, Jr. of Cisco; 3 grandsons, and 1 great-grandson. Lloyd was preceded by his parents, 1 son, and 1 daughter. Lloyd retired from the Cisco Co-op and was the Willow Branch Township Supervisor for 20 years. Lloyd served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and in the Illinois Army National Guard.
