Linden E. Robinson

Linden E. Tub Robinson, 80, of Monticello, died at 11:05 PM, April 25, 2011 at Kirby Hospital, Monticello.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, April 28, 2011 at the First Christian Church of Monticello with Rev. Jim Dalrymple and Rev. Steve Ingram officiating. No visitation will be held. Mackey-Wright Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Interment will be in the Monticello Township Cemetery.
Linden was born August 29, 1930 in Piatt County, IL the son of Andrew and Sylvia (Fitzwater) Robinson. He married Joanne Furtney on November 6, 1948 in Decatur, IL.
Survivors include his wife, Joanne Robinson of Monticello; daughters, Linda Robinson of Galena and Debbie Hogan of Indianapolis, IN; son, John Robinson of Monticello; sister, Wilma Grant of Monticello; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother (Dale Robinson).
Linden was a retired farmer. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Monticello, the Piatt County Farm Bureau, and a former Monticello Township Board Trustee. Linden enjoyed farming, cattle and attending livestock auctions.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Monticello, the Piatt County Nursing Home, or an organization of the donors choice.
