Leston Dalton

Leston Dalton, 94, of Monticello, passed away at 10:20 PM, on August 9, 2009 at Kirby Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 13, 2009 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Monticello with Bro. Sylvan Knobolck and Bro. Winston Burton officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 AM at the church on Thursday, August 13, 2009. Interment will be in Monticello Township Cemetery with Mackey-Wright Funeral Home handling the arrangements.
Leston was born on May 5, 1915 in Delmar, KY the son of Alva and Bannie Bell (Burton) Dalton. He married Mattie Baker on December 20, 1940 in Somerset, KY.
Surviving is his wife: Mattie Dalton, sons: Charles (Virginia) Dalton and Larry (Laura) Dalton, daughters: Ella Mae (Brad) Knisley, Aileen (Glenn) Fuller, and Cathy (Jim) Daniels, 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren, brother: Lervie Dalton and sisters: Ruby Hardwick and Ina Burton. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters.
Leston was a retired farmer and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Monticello.
Memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church or Kirby Hospital.
