Leo Fern Crook, age 97, of Monticello, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2007, at Kirby Hospital in Monticello.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, April 23, 2007 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Ingram and Rev. Jim Dalrymple officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 4:00 PM, Sunday, April 22, 2007 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Interment will be held in the Bement Township Cemetery.
Mrs. Crook was born January 12, 1910 in Bement, IL, the daughter of Thomas J. and Phoebe (OLaughlin) Wildman. She married Jesse Crook on October 12, 1926 in Covington, IN. He passed away on January 16, 1976.
Surviving are her sons: Jesse Crook of Monticello, Dean Crook of Gilbertsville, KY, and Bob Crook of Mahomet, daughters: Shirley Whitton of Casey and Mary Lou Childs of Gilbertsville, KY. Sister: Dorothy Courson of Monticello, 9 Grandchildren and 13 Great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, 3 brothers (Gerald, Everett and Ervin Wildman) and 2 Sisters (Doris Durbin and Lois Pruitt).
Mrs. Crook was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church of Monticello where she was helped with bible school and preparing church meals.
