Larry West Obituary
Larry W. West, age 62, of Monticello, Ill., died Thursday, October 5, 2006, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, October 9, 2006 at the Maranatha Assembly of God Church 555 W. Imboden Dr. in Decatur, Ill. with Rev. Doug Lowrey officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Sunday, October 8, 2006 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home in Monticello. Interment will be in the Monticello Township Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Maranatha Assembly of God Church.
Mr. West was born May 4, 1944 in Carson City, NV. the son of Lenard and Bertha (Wilson) West. He married Deanna Welch on May 3, 1964 in Clinton, Ill.. She survives.
Also surviving are Daughter; Kim Ziegler of Sugar Grove, Ill., Son; Kevin West of Tamaroa, Ill., and 5 grandchildren; Andrew, Shanna, and Alayna Ziegler, Slade and Ella West. Also his Father; Lenard West of Clinton, Ill., Brother; Bill West of Tremont, IL and Sister; Agnes Geraldine Brannock of Farmer City, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his Mother and 1 Brother (Fred).
Mr. West was a retired letter carrier for the Champaign Post Office. He attended the Maranatha Assembly of God Church and was Vice President of the Champaign Postal Credit Union. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and the Cubs over the Cards. Most of all he enjoyed his grandchildren.
