Kathryn J Wilkey

Kathryn J. Wilkey, 87, of Monticello passed away at 2:25 PM, Friday, March 26, 2010 at her residence.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at the Monticello Township Cemetery with Rev. Michael Eischen officiating. No Visitation. Mackey-Wright Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Kay was born November 5, 1922 in San Augustine, TX, the daughter of Thomas and Kathryn M. Gamble. She married James Morris Richards on August 10, 1940 in Indiana. He died September 3, 1945. She then married Dwight B. Wilkey on December 26, 1947 in Monticello. He died April 27, 1981.
Kay is survived by her nephew Thomas R. Gamble, Jr. of Valley Center, CA. Kay was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, and 1brother (Thomas R. Gamble, Sr.).
Kay was a retired clerical worker for Pepsin in Monticello. She was a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church, Monticello Golf Club, Kirby Hospital Auxiliary, Quarterback Club, and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Kay was always very grateful to the fine people of Monticello for their acceptance of her and their friendship over the years.
Memorials may be made to the Monticello United Methodist Church or Kirby Hospital.
