Joyce Bielert

Joyce Ann Bielert, 62, of Philo, died at 10:38am on September 21, 2024 at Carle Foundation Hospital.  

Joyce was born on September 5, 1962, a daughter of Harold and Donna York.  She married Kevin Bielert on August 22, 1981 in Urbana.  He died on February 17, 2024.  

Survivors inlcude:  her son, Dustin Bielert of Philo; daughter, Becky (Ian) Althaus of Lakewood, WA; 5 grandchildren.  

Joyce worked for many years at the Philo Corner Store and had many loyal customers.  She enjoyed camping, football and carrying on the traditional family peanut brittle.  Joyce will be remembered for her iconic laugh and gift of gab.  

In accordance with her wishes, Joyce will be cremated.  Friends may greet the family at a Celebration of Life Ceremony from 4:00-6:00 on Thursday September 26 at Riggs Beer Company at 1901 High Cross Road in Urbana.
