Josephine Dodd Obituary
Josephine P. Dodd, 90 of Monticello, passed away at 8:30 P.M., Friday, February 22, 2008 at the Piatt County Nursing Home. Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Dalrymple officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Interment will be at a GAR Cemetery in Homer.
Josephine was born August 12, 1917 in La Verne, Iowa, the daughter of Chris and Minnie (Strack) Poll. She married Carl E. Dodd August 12, 1936 in Urbana. He passed away April 20, 1987. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Josephine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 Brothers and 4 Sisters.
Josephine was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Monticello, the Sweet 16 Bank Club and the Rebekahs Lodge.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Monticello or the Piatt County Nursing Home.
