Joseph H. Tontodonato, 79, of Champaign, died on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Private services will be held.

Joe was born on April 30, 1944 in Boston, MA to Joseph and M. Luisa (Presutti) Tontodonato.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Sherry; 2 children, Joseph Tontodonato (Rowena) of CA and Lynn Debelis of NH; 3 stepchildren, Cindy Blank (Mike) of TN, John Kirchner of FL and Stephanie Sims (Jim) of Mahomet; 1 sister, Rosemarie Modica of MA; 1 sister-in-law, Melinda Shaw (Art) of Mahomet; 3 nieces, Laura and Lisa Modica of MA, Kayla Cvengros (Bob) of Mahomet; 7 grandchildren, Madelynn, Sophia, Matteo, Joshua, Heidi, Matthew and Elizabeth; 3 great nieces, Ava, Grace and Clare; and 1 great nephew, Luke.

Joe honorably served in the US Marine Corps. He earned a Bachelor’s degree at Boston College with a degree in Business and he earned a Master's degree in Business Administration from Suffolk University. Joe worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer.

Joe was a devout Catholic, frequently attending daily mass; enjoyed watching thoroughbred racing; and was a passionate sports fan, especially rooting on the New England Patriots.
