John "Jack" A. McNeilly

John A. Jack McNeilly, 80, of Monticello, died at 7:51 AM, February 4, 2011 at Carle Hospital, Urbana.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, February 11, 2011 at the Monticello United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM, Friday, February 11, 2011 at the Monticello United Methodist Church. Mackey-Wright Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Saybrook.
Jack was born November 4, 1930 in Hudson, IL the son of Bert and Dot (Masincupp) McNeilly. He married Roberta L. Steed on October 3, 1954 in Saybrook. She died on August 17, 1996.
Survivors include their sons; Andy McNeilly (Cid) of Indianapolis, IN, Dave Buck McNeilly of Monticello, IL and Chris McNeilly (Cindy) of Hudson, IL, 5 grandchildren; Christian, Peter, Alex, Carey, Kelsey, and 2 great grandchildren; Gioia and Adelaide.
Jack was a retired County Manager for the Department of Agriculture ASC. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict, was a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church and enjoyed volunteering with Meals on Wheels and the Monticello UMC Food Pantry.
Memorials may be made to the Monticello United Methodist Church to benefit the Food Pantry.
We are so thankful for our father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He joyfully shared the details of every cherished memory, which if left unspoken would have perished unknown, and the weight of our family knowledge would be found wanting. He was a precious patriarch.
