JoAnn Elizabeth Whisman, age 71 of DeLand, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2007, at Jackson Heights Nursing Home in Farmer City.
Graveside service will be held Saturday, March 17, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the DeLand Cemetery with Mackey-Wright Funeral Home in Monticello handling the arrangements.
Mrs. Whisman was born May 23 1935 in Heyworth, the daughter of John Sing and Mayme (Clark) Frost. She married Thomas C. Whisman on April 19, 1957 in Bloomington.
Surviving are her husband: Thomas Whisman of DeLand, sons: Orin (Pam) Whisman of DeLand, Kenneth (Becky) Whisman of Mahomet, Dale (Kim) Whisman of Farmer City and Donald Whisman of DeLand, daughters: Mary (James) Habel of DeLand and Janet Whisman of DeLand, brothers: Joseph Frost of Bloomington and Charles Frost of Wapella, 6 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, 3 Brothers and 2 Sisters.
Mrs. Whisman was a housewife and former Avon representative.
