Jewel Crawford

Jewel Crawford, age 90 of Monticello, passed away at 5:19 A.M. June 17, 2012 at the Piatt County Nursing Home. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with Rev. David Stogsdill officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Monticello Township Cemetery. Mackey-Wright Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Jewel was born April 26, 1922 in Somerset, Kentucky the daughter of Everett and Delia Doctie (Dalton) Weaver. She married E. Max Crawford on September 27, 1941 in St. Charles, Missouri. Surviving are her daughters Betty Ensign of Monticello, IL; and Loretta Stiverson of Monticello, IL; and Daughter in law Deidre Crawford, of Kerrville, TX. 6 grandchildren, 3 Step Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, 7 Step Great Grandchildren, 11 Great-Great Grandchildren and 1 Step Great-Great Grandchild, and several nieces and nephews along with her brother Lervia Weaver, of Siblo, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Rev. Max Alan Crawford. 1 granddaughter, 2 brothers, 1 sister, and a Great -Great Grandson. Jewel was a member of the Open Hearts Four Square Church of Monticello. Memorials may be made to the Open Hearts Four Square Church of Monticello.
