Jerry D. Stiebner

Jerry Dale Stiebner, 68, passed away peacefully at home in Savoy, IL on Thursday, February 2, 2023.  Jerry was born September 11, 1954 to John (Bud) and Olive (Phillips) Stiebner and grew up in Champaign.

Jerry graduated from Central High School. He was extremely mechanical and worked with many local race cars.  He enjoyed traveling to different tracks as part of the pit crew.

Jerry retired from Laborers Local 703.  He was most happy in his garage taking things apart to see how they worked and repairing anything he could find. He was happy to help anyone work on their vehicles or mowers or anything that needed repaired.

Jerry is survived by his Mother, Olive Stiebner of Monticello, brother, Carl Stiebner of DeLand, and his nephew, Cody Stiebner also of DeLand.  He was preceded in death by his Father.

An informal celebration of Jerry’s life will be on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 6 – 8 pm at Traxside, 4 East Holden St, Tolono.  Scattering of his ashes will be held at a later date.
