Jeannette Harris Obituary
Jeannette G. Harris, 87, of Hammond, passed away at 7:04 a.m., Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 9, 2012 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello with Rev. Dawn Ingram officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Interment will be in Bement Township Cemetery.
Jeannette was born December 16, 1924, in Pennsylvania, the daughter of Henry and Gwen (Holderman) Creech. She first married Dale Zindars in Monticello, IL, then after his passing she married Vearl Harris in Champaign, IL.
Surviving are her daughters; Anne (Kerry) Pate of Arthur and Susan (Thomas) Manning of Lenexa, KS, 3 grandchildren; Jonathan Pate and fiance Rena Vincent, Thomas Manning and Christopher Manning, and a brother; Henry Creech of Braceville, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and both husbands.
Jeannette worked as a secretary for the Emmanual Memorial Episcopal Church in Champaign and she was a member of the Hammond Methodist Church.
Memorials may be made to the Eberhardt Village in Arthur.
