Jeanette C. Blacker

Jeanette C. Blacker, 90, of Monticello, died at 4:15 AM, Sunday, August 26, 2007, at the Piatt County Nursing Home in Monticello.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, August 30, 2007 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Interment will be held in the Monticello Township Cemetery.
Jeanette was born on August 24, 1917 in Doniphan, Missouri, the daughter of Cecil and Sallie Steele. She married Elmer Cresap in 1934. She later married John Blacker of White Heath on April 7, 1949 in Rochelle, IL.
Surviving is her Husband: John Blacker of Monticello, four children: Terry (Yvonne) Cresap of Mountain Home, Ark., Sharon (David) Hartsfield of White Heath, Marcia Cresap of Vista, CA., and Stan (Brenda) Blacker of White Heath. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, 3 sisters, 1 grandson, and 1 great granddaughter.
Jeanette was a homemaker her entire life. She enjoyed cooking, music, dancing, traveling, and most of all being with her family. She was past President of the White Heath Community Club and a member of the Piatt County Farm Bureau. She belonged to the First Christian Church of Monticello.
