Jason S. Hartrick

Jason S. Hartrick, 51, of Champaign passed away February 20, 2026 at Carle Hospital. He was an amazing, caring, strong, hard-headed man with an immense love of family, for family and dearly by family. He has family who call him best friend and an entire community of friends who call him brother. He was always first to step in and help family, friends, neighbors and strangers he met along the way.

He was the best at telling stories, planning surprises and bringing the laughs and entertainment. He loved being outdoors, taking rides on beautiful days and short weekend vacations while forever listening to music… not for it!!! His favorite was always gathering in the neighborhood with family and friends.

He leaves behind his wife Melissa (Connour) Hartrick of 22 years whom he adored, two children Isaac and Emma whom he was so very proud of, his mother Marsha whom he checked in with daily and his two brothers Brian and Kyle whom he also called his best friends. Nieces and nephews, great ones too, whom he loved greatly along with his sisters-in-law and so many loving uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Steven, brother Ben Hettinger, grandparents Dale and Doris Eggers and Perry and Frances Hartrick, Cousin Amy Hess and others.

When the season changes and our days are warmer, we will gather to Celebrate his Life as he would have wanted it.
