Janice L. Coffin, 79, went to be with the Lord on May 19, 2026. Jan was born to Louis and Dorothy (Carley) Rosenboom in Watseka, IL on October 14, 1946.
She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Savoy, where she served as Deaconess and volunteered in many positions throughout the years. She also attended Bible Study every week.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Raymond and her son, Daniel Coffin.
Jan is survived by her 2 sons, Jay (Brent Droege) Salmon and Kurt Salmon; 2 grandsons, Christopher (Alyssa) Coffin and Kyle Coffin; 2 grand daughters, Taylor Jean and Hailey Dawson Salmon and one sister, Judy Rudin.
Jan enjoyed Bible Study, playing the piano, jigsaw puzzles and was pilot for about 10 years, but traveling was her passion. She visited all 50 states and over 30 countries. God and family were her greatest loves.
There will be a funeral service at 11:00am on Wednesday May 27 at Blair-Owens Funeral Home (102 E. Dunbar) in Mahomet. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Mahomet.
