James L. Stoerger

James L. Stoerger, age 82, of Loda, formerly of Monticello, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2006, at his residence.

Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006 at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Monticello with Fr. Pat DeMuelemeester officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:30 AM, Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home in Monticello. Interment will be in the Bement Township Cemetery in Bement.

Mr. Stoerger was born Nov. 5, 1924 in Ivesdale, the son of George E. and Catherine (Haggen) Stoerger, Sr. He married Ella Vogel on Sept. 8, 1951 in Assumption. She survives.

Also surviving is a brother Harold Stoerger of Monticello.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Mr. Stoerger was a farmer and raised Black Angus cattle. He was a member of the St. Philomena Catholic Church of Monticello.
