Irene Linton Obituary
Irene L. Giddings Linton, 88 of Monticello, passed away at 5:00 AM, Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at the Piatt County Nursing Home.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 30, 2009 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Ingram officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Monticello Township Cemetery.
Irene was born August 4, 1920 in Toledo, OH the daughter of Homer and Jennie (Auchenbaugh) Markley. She married Willis Linton on November 9, 1990 in Monticello.
Surviving are her husband: Willis Linton of Monticello, sons: Charles L. (Judy) Giddings of Monticello, Guy (Esther) Giddings of Monticello and Thomas (Nancy) Giddings of Hemet, CA, 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, first husband (Charles E. Giddings), and a son (Homer Giddings).
Irene worked as a seamstress.
Memorials may be made to the Piatt County Nursing Home or Kirby Hospital.
