Icis Buchanan Obituary
Icis B. Buchanan, age 100, of Monticello, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2007, at Bement Health Care Center.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home in Monticello with Pastor Jerry Parmley officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 AM -12:00 PM, Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Internment will be in the Goose Creek Township Cemetery in De Land.
Mrs. Buchanan was born September 17, 1906 in Sumner, Illinois the daughter of Lewis and Clara (Haynes) Jones. She married Frank Buchanan on September 9, 1926 in Claremont. He passed away in 1961.
Surviving are her sons: Dale Buchanan of Monticello; Wilbur Buchanan of Bement; and Jack Buchanan of Monticello, 26 Grandchildren, and 33 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 Brothers, 1 Sister, 1 Daughter, 3 Sons, 1 Grandson, 2 Granddaughters and 1 Great Granddaughter.
Mrs. Buchanan was a homemaker.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bement Health Care Center.
