Helen Miller Obituary

Helen Marie Miller, 75, of Monticello, passed away at 9:35pm on July 3, 2007 at the Piatt County Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 7, at the Monticello United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 6, at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home in Monticello. There will be an Eastern Star service beginning at 7:45pm. Burial will be at the Croninger Cemetery in Cisco following the funeral.
Helen was born September 18, 1931 at the home of her parents Harry E. Cook and Eva Nadine Cook of Cisco, Ill. Helen graduated from Monticello High School in 1949. She married Essell W. Miller of Cisco on September 30, 1949. He preceded her in death on January 23, 1980.
She is survived by four sons, John D. (Karen) Miller of Monticello, Ronald E. (Kathy)
Miller of Monticello, Gary E. (Jeanne) Miller of DeWitt, Iowa, and Terry W. (Mary) Miller of Bloomington; one brother, Charles Cook of Champaign; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Helen was a fifty year member and Past-Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star and member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Cisco Post. She was a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church and past member of the Cisco United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed reading, traveling, camping, shopping, ballroom dancing and being with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Larry Dwayne, and infant granddaughter, Christina Lynn Miller.
The family expresses appreciation to the staff of the Piatt County Nursing Home for their compassionate care and attention during her extended illness.
