Hazel Brown Obituary
Hazel Brown, 93 of Monticello, passed away at 1:25 A.M., Saturday, June 21, 2008 at Heritage Manor in Normal. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Ingram Officiating. Visitation will one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Monticello Township Cemetery.
Hazel was born December 22, 1914 in Somerset, KY. She married Roy Brown on August 17, 1935 in Monticello. He passed away May 21, 1989. Surviving are her sons: Donald Roy (Roberta) Brown of Kewanee and Dwayne (Linda) Brown of Bloomington; 6 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Step-mother (Effie Fairchild Trimble) 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Hazel was a retired LPN at the Piatt County Nursing Home and a 50 year member of the First Christian Church of Monticello.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Monticello.
