Geraldine L. Myerscough

Geraldine L. Myerscough, 90, of Monticello, passed away at 7:50 p.m., on September 23, 2012 at the Piatt County Nursing Home, Monticello.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Dalene Kuebler officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Champaign.
Geraldine was born August 6, 1922, in Taylorville, IL, the daughter of Arthur M. and Anna Mary (Fesser) Sanders. She married Gerald A. Myerscough on April 14, 1941 in Morganfield, KY.
Surviving are her daughter; Janet Creek of Bloomington, sons; Harold Myerscough (Karen) of Seymour and Howard Myerscough (Judy) of White Heath, 4 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers (Everett, Chester, and Paul Sanders) and 2 sisters (Darlene and Pauline Sanders).
Geraldine was the cafeteria manager in Deland from 1957-1963 and in Mahomet from 1963-1988. She was a member of the Seymour United Methodist Church and past member of both the Prairie Promenaders and the Piatt County Promenaders Square Dance Club.
