George Richard "Dick" Loney

George Richard Dick Loney, age 76 of Monticello, passed away at 1:10 A.M., Sunday, June 15, 2008 in Urbana, Illinois. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Dalrymple officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 17, 2008 5-7 P.M. Interment will be in Goose Creek Cemetery, in Deland, Illinois. Dick was born July 4, 1931 in Deland, Illinois the son of George Owen and Estella (Cook) Loney. He married Darlene Souders on July 14, 1951 in San Antonio, Texas. She survives. Also surviving is his daughter Dianne Musick of Assumption, Illinois. Dick has 5 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents, 1 son Danny Loney, 1 brother James Loney, 3 sisters Maxine Primmer, Sally Sparrow, and Betty Loney. Dick was a retired rural mail carrier for the Deland, and the Altamont areas, he enjoyed his family. He was a member of the First Christian Church. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church or the Cancer Foundation.
