Gayle and Tedrick Hyatt Loy began their married life together in May of 1963, building their family in Mahomet. They were blessed with 2 children together, Eric Charles Loy of Danville. IL and Elizabeth Ann Loy of Mahomet. Their journey together was filled with many shared experiences and much laughter. It is heartwarming to know of families growing and forming lasting bonds, contributing to the tapestry of their heritage and community.
Beth was a survivor of breast cancer for many years. They family was strong together through it all. Caring for her was her Aunt Sally Loy (Mahomet ) another beautiful soul and forever friend. Gayle participated in the pink ribbon fund raisers, getting a pink ribbon tattoo on her thumb and even dying a portion of her hair pink.
The cancer took Beth away which left a hole in her momma's heart.
Her son Eric (Danville, IL) took up the cross for Gayle and cared for her until the end with the help of her daughter in law Misty Loy, nephew Bob Grindley (Farmer City) and wife Terri.
She and her husband Ted, (a retired Police officer) liked to take long and short drives enjoying nature and visiting the famous Sangamon River

She curated a treasure trove of photos, preserving memories that wrapped around her like a warm hug, each snapshot a testament to the life of those around her.
She also loved reading romance novels on her tablet. Gayle would want us all to know she loved and cared for her Sadie dog, (beagle) and left behind Molly (Mixed Shih Tzu) who is now cared for by Terri and Bob Grindley.
She cherished meeting with her Mahomet-Seymour classmates. With special longtime friend Kay Gossard they shared stories that wove their past together. reminding her of the bonds that time could never sever. Gayle was grateful and thankful for each person that came into her life. Friends, family, and especially her neighbors Jeff and Faith, who always kept a watchful eye on her. She held THEIR lives and family close to her spirit.
A cherished soul, peacefully departed in her sleep at Country Health and Rehab in Gifford. Her warmth and kindness touched many lives, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.
