Gary S. Hayes, 65, of Olney, passed away at 2:13 p.m., March 17, 2012 at Richland Memorial Hospital, Olney.
Gary was born on September 9, 1946 in Monticello, IL the son of Robert E. and Margaret J. (Albert) Hayes.
Gary is survived by his daughters; Shannon (Craig) Hicks of Monticello and Jennifer Hayes of Bement, his mother; Margaret Hayes of Monticello, brothers; Joe (Shelley) Hayes of Monticello and Mark (Renee) Hayes of Urbana, a sister; Erin (Stony) Lane of Monticello, and a granddaughter; Macy Hicks.. He was preceded in death by his father.
Gary was retired and was a football enthusiast.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at the Monticello Township Cemetery with Rev. Jim Dalrymple officiating. Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello is handling the arragements.
Memorial may be made to an organization of the Donors Choice.
