G.Wayne Crowley

G. Wayne Crowley, 75 of Champaign and formerly of Mahomet, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at home.

Honoring Wayne’s wishes, he will be cremated and his ashes will be buried at Grandview Memorial Gardens at 10:00am on Tuesday, Nov. 29.

Wayne was born August 21, 1947 in Newcomb Township to Leo William and Violet Eva McNear Crowley.  He was married to Beverly McKinley, she survives.

Survivors also include his daughter and son-in-law Marcy Crowley and Tim Sutton: two sisters, Lucille Stauffer of Mansfield, Shirley Price (Hubert) of Fisher and one brotherDarrell Crowley, Sr. (Cheryl) of Mahomet; two grandchildren Paige Sutton (Jonathan Johnston) of Champaign, and Kyle Sutton of Mahomet; and a great grandson Isaac Johnston of Champaign.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Peggy Crowley Hood, and three brothers Gene, Clifford and Harold Crowley.

Wayne served in the army and was stationed in Vietnam as a cook. He retired from Super Valu in Urbana and was enjoying his retirement by working in his yard and taking care of flowers.Wayne attended the Oak Grove Church in rural Fisher as a child.  He also attended the First Baptist Church in Mahomet as a young adult.
