Francis White Obituary
Francis E. White, age 87, of Monticello, passed away at 1:25 AM, Sunday, January 13, 2008 at the Piatt County Nursing Home.
Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at the Bement Township Cemetery with Rev. Lutz Braunig officiating and Military Rites by the Hamm-Burke American Legion Post #101 of Monticello. Mackey-Wright Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Francis was born August 25, 1920 in Wayne County, Illinois the son of Bert and Mary Eva (Brown) White. He married Betty Sebens and then married Linda Whitely on September 22, 1990 in Urbana. She survives.
Also surviving are his daughters: Michelle (Kevin) Foster of Mahomet and Suzanna (Tyler) Brock of Monticello, 3 granddaughters: Angela, Rebekka, and Riley, sister: Eva Mae Mulvaney of Champaign.
Francis was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 1 Sister, and first wife (Betty).
Francis was a retired mechanic and served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He enjoyed tinkering with mechanics, bird watching, yard work and watching college sports.
Memorials may be made to the Piatt County Nursing Home.
