Everett E. Welch

Everett E. Welch, 98 of Monticello, passed away at 12:40 P.M., Thursday, February 28, 2008 at the Piatt County Nursing Home. Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 2, 2008 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Parmley officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Monticello Township Cemetery.
Everett was born December 16, 1909 in Monticello, the son of Edward E. and Elizabeth (Spurling) Welch. He married Essie Mae Weaver December 23, 1929 in Glasford. She passed away April 17, 1999. Surviving is his son: Duane Welch of Leesburg, FL, daughters: Evelyn Craig of Mahomet, and Deanna West of Monticello, 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren. Everett was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 1 brother (Orville) and 1 sister (Hazel Scarclif).
Everett was a retired farmer. His hobbies included hunting and fishing.
