Evelyn Argo Obituary
Evelyn Mae Argo, age 70, of Monticello, died Wednesday, January 24, 2007, at the Bement Health Care Center in Bement, IL.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 27, 2007 at the DeLand Cemetery in DeLand. A private family visitation will be held with Mackey-Wright Funeral Home handling the arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bement Health Care Center.
Mrs. Argo was born December 27, 1936 in Galesville, IL the daughter of Hubert Pete and Sula (Eastham) Gaines. She married Lewis Kenneth Argo, Sr. on December 28, 1954 in Urbana. He passed away in 1984.
Survivors include her son; Lewis Kenneth Argo, Jr. of Lodge, daughters; Edith Kibler and Thelma Argo both of Monticello, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; brothers; Donald Gaines of Champaign, Dawayne Gaines of Savoy, Raymond Gaines of Arcola, and sisters; Thelma Rice of Champaign, Doris Felts of West Frankfort, and Juanita Johnson of Indio, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one daughter.
Mrs. Argo was a housewife.
