Erma Jones Obituary
Erma J. Jones, age 86, of Lodge, passed away Monday, January 28, 2008 at Carle Hospital in Urbana.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, February 1, 2008 at Mackey-Wright Funeral Home in Monticello with Rev. Jerry Park and Rev. Jeremiah Gregory officiating. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, January 31, 2008 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Grandview Memorial Gardens in Champaign.
Erma was born May 23, 1921 in Lodge the daughter of Roy and Marie (Canaday) Hankinson. She married Ray Williams Jones, Sr. on January 11, 1941 in St. Louis, MO. He survives.
Also surviving are her sons: Ray Jones, Jr. of Lodge and Richard Lee Jones of White Heath, daughter: Karen Leonard of Monticello, 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Erma was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister and 3 brothers.
Erma was a homemaker. She was a member of the Lodge Church of God and enjoyed playing the guitar.
Memorials may be made to the Lodge Church of God.
