MONTICELLO - Elizabeth "Betty" Alice Foran, 88 of Monticello, Il, passed away at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at home.
She was born May 9, 1924 in Moultry Co. the daughter of Thaddeus R Harned and Lula Crickman. On June 26, 1947 she married John "Bud" P Foran in Bement, IL he preceded her in death on August 16, 1976.
Surviving are her three children Cindy Ward (Bruce) of Mahomet Il, John A Foran (Connie) of Arthur, Il and Mary Annette Foran or Monticello, Il. Grandchildren: Bert Ward of Raleigh, NC, Patrick Foran, Arthur, Il, Nolan Foran, Hampton, VA, Brittany Foran, Sullivan, Il. Great grandchildren: Maddison and Victor Foran and one sister Esther (Lloyd) Talkington of Decatur, Il. Sister in laws: Madonna (Robert) Jeffers, Jean Foran, Jane Foran.
Preceded in death by parents, 2 sisters, Gertrude Mentzer, Josephine Jones and 2 brother, Clifford Harned and Kennie Harned.
Betty decided years ago to donate her body to St Louis University Medical School for the benefit of others. That is how she lived her life helping others. For many years she baby sat and loved more children than we can count.
The "Lady in Pink" had to have had a green thumb. Everyone that knew her appreciated her love for flowers and her gardens.

A Celebration of Life will be at an Open House for family and friends, Saturday June 30, 2012 form 2:00 - 4:00, at 107 Quail Hill Rd, Monticello, Il
