Effie Ruth Nelson, 84, of Monticello, passed away at 5:07 A.M., Monday, May 26, 2008 at the Helia Healthcare of Champaign.
Graveside service will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 29, 2008 at the Monticello Township Cemetery with Rev. Marsha Fredrick officiating. No visitation. Mackey-Wright Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Effie was born December 27, 1923 in Monticello the daughter of Eldo and Della Mae (Castang) Nelson.
Surviving is her brother: Clifford Nelson of Monticello, sister: Elsie Cleveland of Sunny Valley, CA and several nieces and nephews. Effie was preceded in death by her parents and 3 sisters (Bernice Myers, Geneva Weier, and Zelma Kruse).
Effie was a product line operator at General Cable Company.
Memorials may be made to an organization of the donors choice.
