In Loving Memory of Edward Anthony Palmisano
Edward Anthony Palmisano, 78, passed away peacefully at his home on June 26th. He was born On August 24th, 1945 to Francis and Kathleen Palmisano, the 2nd of eight children. He attended St. Mary's School and then Champaign High School where he fell in love with his high school sweetheart Regina (Jeanie) Broderick
Ed and Jeanie were married on Sept 4, 1965. Together they had three loving children, Ronnie Palmisano, Debbie Palmisano (Jason Edwardson) and Rob (Kim) Palmisano, 3 grandchildren, Nathan (Miriam) Palmisano, Alex Palmisano, and Taylor Edwardson, (And the thing that always brought a smile to his face), 2 great grandchildren, Zachary and Camille Palmisano.
He was a die hard Bears, Cubs and Illini fan! He enjoyed fishing, bonfires, gardening, cooking and of course a PBR at one of his favorite local watering holes.
Edward Anthony Palmisano served in the United States Army and as a result of his bravery and courage earned a Purple Heart in Korea. He worked 20 plus years for Sears, after Sears he had a few different jobs before finally retiring from Champaign Park Dist. He will be remembered for his work ethic, bravery and headstrong spirit.
He was preceded in death by son, Ronnie and grandson, Alex.
A Celebration of Life will be on July 6th at the Elks Lodge from 1:00-4:00 PM. 903 North Dunlap Avenue, Savoy IL 61874. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Wounded Warriors Project.
