Edith Francies Lane

Edith Francies Lane, age 88, of Lodge, died Sunday, January 21, 2007, at Kirby Hospital in Monticello, IL.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home in Monticello with Rev. Bill Moorman officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Champaign.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Kirby Hospital or the Bement Health Care Center.

Mrs. Lane was born October 2, 1918 in Somerset, KY the daughter of Crave Owen and Flora Kelly (Burton) Dalton. She married Robert Owen Lane on June 27, 1937 in Mahomet. He passed away January 5, 1996.

Surviving are her sons; Robert W. Lane and Carl W. Lane both of Lodge; six grandchildren, eleven great grandchild, and four great great grandchildren; her brother Veston Dalton of Farina and sister Opal Kiest of Homer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, two grandsons, five sisters, and four brothers.

Mrs. Lane was a homemaker. She was a member of the Lodge Church of God and she enjoyed fishing and camping.
