Ed Foran, 56 of White Heath, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 in his home after a long and valiant battle with brain cancer.
Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, June 1, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ivesdale with Monsignor Albert Hallin officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 PM, Sunday, May 31, 2009 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home in Monticello. Interment will be in Monticello Township Cemetery.
Ed was born on July 29, 1952 in Champaign the son of Edward R. and Christine A. (Schwerdt) Foran. He married Karen Evans Hamilton on July 3, 1996 in Monticello.
Surviving is his wife: Karen Foran of White Heath, sons: Jason Foran of Monticello and Jacob Foran of Seattle, WA, daughter: Heather Foran of Monticello, stepsons: Karl Hamilton of Champaign and Lucas Hamilton of Mahomet, stepdaughter: Andrea (Ben) Winter of Urbana, grandchildren: Triston and Carter Foran, Alysa Hamilton, and Jack Winter, mother: Christine Foran of Monticello, brother: Steve (Lynn) Foran of Monticello, sisters: Janet (Jim) Pucin of Northbrook and Sharon (Erik) Lee of Decatur. He was preceded in death by his father (Edward) and 1 brother (Ronnie).
Ed worked as Vice-President of Operations for University Construction for 31 years. Ed executed his job with great pride and dedication. Ed also worked a short time for Broeren Russo Construction. Ed loved his family, his friends, fishing, hunting and the great outdoors. Ed will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
