Earl Pearce, 71, of White Heath, passed away at 7:10 a.m., March 29, 2012 at his residence.
Earl was born on May 21, 1940 in East St. Louis, IL the son of Rolla and Opal B. (White) Pearce. He married Betty Pauline Mitchell on December 31, 1970 in White Heath.
Earl is survived by his wife; Pauline Pearce of White Heath, son; Rick Pearce of Decatur, grandchildren; Victoria Pearce of Flora, Ryan Pearce of Decatur, Nick Nihiser and Stephanie Moreton both of Charleston, Stephanie Hollis of White Heath, great grandchildren; Anthony Lee of Flora and Dalton Wise of California, sister; Marie Pearce Marshall of South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 son (Tracy Wise).
Earl was a roofer for Hitchins of Urbana and bookkeeper for Pearce's Bookkeeping of White Heath. Earl served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the White Heath Water Works for many years, past president of the White Heath Community Club, and coached White Heath Little League.
Private services will be held with Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello handling the arrangements.
Memorial may be made to Carle Hospice, Piatt County Multiple Sclerosis Society or the White Heath Fire Department.
