Dorothy K. Caldwell, of Monticello, passed away at 9:20 AM, Monday, April 21, 2008 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Bement Cemetery with Pastor Alan Oman officiating. Mackey-Wright Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Dorothy was born November 17, 1920 in Centralia, Illinois the daughter of John Alvy and Blanche (Furgason) Gosney. She married Roy Caldwell in Decatur, Illinois January 10, 1960. He survives.
Also surviving are her Daughters: Karen St. John of Mattoon, IL. Ruth Albin, of Decatur, IL., Janice Collins of Herrick, IL., Rebecca Markell of Danville, IL., and Sandra Cogdill of Monticello, IL. . Dorothy has 9 grandchildren and 13 great grand children, and 5 great great grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded by her parents, 1 brother, and 1 son Mark Caldwell
Dorothy was a homemaker and enjoyed her family. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church, and she was an avid bowler for many years.
In lue of flower the family asks that Memorials be made to the Christ Lutheran Church of Monticello.
