Doris Bennett Obituary
Doris H. Bennett, 71 of Monticello, passed away at 10:45 A.M., Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Kirby Hospital.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 17, 2008 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with Fr. Pat DeMuelemeester officiating. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday May 16, 2008 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Interment will be in Monticello Township Cemetery.
Doris was born February 12, 1937 in Monticello the daughter of Roy and Margaret (Clark) Haneline. She married James E. Bennett on September 3, 1955 in Bement.
Surviving are her husband: James E. Bennett of Monticello, sons: Michael (Pam) Bennett of Monticello, Matt (Beth) Bennett of Monticello, Martin Bennett of Elk Grove Village, Mark (Tina) Bennett of White Heath, and 4 grandchildren. Doris was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother (Larry).
Doris was a housewife and bookkeeper for the family farms. She was a member of the St. Philomena Catholic Church in Monticello, Piatt County Home Extension, Piatt County Farm Bureau, Haneline Club and was an avid Bridge player.
Memorials may be made to Kirby Hospital or the Piatt County Nursing Home.
