Doreen Bowyer

Doreen (Miller) Bowyer, age 88 formerly of Brooksville, Florida, passed away at 2:40 P.M. Thursday, June 12, 2008 at Kirby Hospital in Monticello, Illinois. Inurnment will be at a later date. Mackey-Wright Funeral Home in Monticello is handling the arrangements. Mrs. Bowyer was born March 6, 1920 in Erglington, England the daughter of Charles W. and Beatrice (Saunders) Miller. She married Jack R. Bowyer August 6, 1939 in Erglington, England. The couple had been married for 69 years. They lived in Florida for 42 years and moved to Monticello, Illinois four years ago. Doreen was preceded by her parents, brother Charles and sister Vera. She is survived by her husband Jack, Sons Keith and wife (Bern), Dave and wife (Wendy), and Brothers Arnold, and Fred. She is survived by 6 grandchildren, Tony, Julie, Michelle, Michael, Debbie, and Bobby; also surviving are 9 great grand children, Tyler, Brittany, Joshua, Brandon, Steven, Nicholas, Taylor, Travis and Sunnie. Doreens hobbies were painting, needlepoint, sewing, baking, and crafts.
