Derek Rece Miller

Derek Rece Miller, 42, of Farmer City died at 2:55 a.m. Sunday (June 23, 2024) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

He was born in Champaign on March 16, 1982, the son of Jerry and Diana Miller.

Derek is survived by his husband Timothy Beckenholdt of Farmer City, his father Jerry Miller of Farmer City, two sisters Lori (James) Kirby of Champaign, and Michelle (Michael) Nelson of Paxton, along with 4 nieces and 1 nephew.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Diana Miller, and his nephew, Justin Shaw.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 29th, from 4pm to 7pm at Owens Funeral Home, 101 North Elm Street, Champaign.
