Daune H. Clark

Duane H. Clark, age 81, of Monticello, passed away at 4:33 AM, Thursday, April 10, 2008 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Eischen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Bement Township Cemetery.
Duane was born October 6, 1926 in Bement the son of George L. and Ora (Haynes) Clark. He married Belva Jean Slagle on September 26, 1948 in Bement. She survives.
Also surviving are his sons: Edward D. (Donna) Clark of Downs, James D. (Dianna) Clark of Monticello and Daniel L. Clark of Bement. Duane has four grandchildren: Christina L. (Brent) Ladage, Kelly R. Clark, Kevin J. Clark and Dylan T. Clark. He also has two step grandchildren: Michelle D. (Kevin) Kutchman of Hudson and Bradley L. (Alicia) Stout of Heyworth, brothers: Ralph F. (Virginia) Clark and Robert D. (Ann) Clark both of Bement. He was preceded by his parents.
Duane worked and retired from Sterling Drug Co. in Monticello (1947-1979), then worked and retired from Viobin (1979-1989), and late worked part time at the Horizon Home Center. He graduated from Bement High School in 1944 and he served with the U.S. Navy during WW II. He was a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church, the Bement Masonic Lodge #365 AF&AM, and the Monticello V.F.W Post #5346. He enjoyed billiards, fishing, and working and spending time with his grandchildren.
