Mary Darlene Jordan, 94, of Monticello, died at 2:57 AM, Tuesday, March 22, 2011 in Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday, March 25, 2011 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Interment will be in Monticello Township Cemetery.
Darlene was born March 21, 1917 near Galesville, IL the daughter of Edward and Pearl (Bensyl) Ruch. She married Paul B. Jordan on October 19, 1940 in White Heath. He preceded her in death on July 22, 1996.
Survivors include her daughter; Jane Kay (Keith) Evans of Farmer City, son; John (Phyllis) Edward Jordan of Mansfield, grandchildren; Jennifer (Tommy) Dail, Joella Evans, Kevin (Tonya) Evans, Angela Moubry, Diana (Tom) Goheen, and Sarah (Patrick) Flanagan, great grandchildren; T.J., Spencer, Jordan and Hunter Dail, Kylie, Jordan, and Clayton Moubry, Sydnee, Brayden, and Clayton Evans, and Joseph Goheen, and special friend and caretaker Lisa Burton. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a half-brother.
Darlene lived on a farm near Mansfield for 56 years and was a retired homemaker. She was a lifetime member of the Centerville United Methodist Church, Piatt County Farm Bureau, Piatt County Prime Timers, Young at Heart, Faith-in-Action, and was a 1936 graduate of Mansfield High School.
