Dante Cosenza

Dante Cosenza, 85, died at 6:40am on April 8, 2026 at The Loft in Normal, IL.

Owens Funeral Home will conduct a graveside funeral service at 11:00 on April 10, 2026 at Riverside Cemetery in Mahomet, IL.

Dante served his country in the Air Force, where he was a clerk from 1961-1965.  He was later a founding member of Central Illinois Small Animal Rescue (CISAR), which was a no-kill shelter operated by Pat and Gerrie Burr, Dante and Christine Sfarzo for over 16 years.  During that time, they saved the lives of thousands of animals.
