Dale Norfleet, 77 of Monticello, passed away at 10:48 AM, Sunday, January 18, 2009 at Lexington Medical Center in Columbia, SC.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Friday, January 23, 2009 at the First Baptist Church of Monticello with Pastor Mitch Estep officiating. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, January 22, 2009 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Interment will be in Monticello Township Cemetery.
Dale was born July 31, 1931 in Champaign County the son of Austin and Nellie (Dalton) Norfleet. He married Virginia Miner on May 15, 1951 in Cisco.
Surviving is his wife: Virginia Norfleet of Monticello, children: Paula (Ted) Cheadle of Greenville, SC, Carol Ann Norfleet of Columbia, SC, Greg (Lori) Norfleet of Decatur, and Brian (Lynn) Norfleet of Ellisville, MO, 8 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, brother Gary (Jane) Norfleet of Cisco and sister Joyce (Don) Dyson of Maroa. Dale was preceded in death by his parents.
Dale was a farmer and served in the U.S. Air Force. Dale was a member of the First Baptist Church of Monticello.
