Dale D. Leach, 71, of Monticello, passed away at 8:32 AM, Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Kirby Hospital, Monticello.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 23, 2009 at the Monticello Township Cemetery with Pastor Tim Bauler officiating. Mackey-Wright Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Dale was born August 20, 1938 in Decatur, IL the son of George and Velma (Brown) Leach. He married Betty Heidkamp on September 29, 1962 in Monticello.
Surviving is his wife; Betty Leach of Monticello, daughters; Cynthia Krahn of Monticello, Teresa Lemaire of Minneapolis, MN, and Nicole Gortner of Monticello, 9 grandchildren, brother; George Leach of Springfield, and sister; Dorothy Fitzwater of Monticello. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Dale was a retired supervisor at General Cable in Monticello. Dale served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a member of The First Presbyterian Church of Monticello; he loved golfing, fishing and do-it-yourself home improvements.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
