Craig Lindsley Obituary

Our beloved Craig Richard Lindsley, 49, passed from this world on Tuesday, February 16, 2010, in Colorado. Craig was born on May 2, 1960 in Monticello, the son of Richard and Hazel (Secrist) Lindsley. He attended Monticello Schools. He was an athlete and an avid sports fan. In high school he excelled in football and wrestling. He was the first MHS wrestler to advance to the second level in the IHSA State Tournament.
After high school, he attended Milligan University for one year before transferring to and graduating from Oral Roberts University in 1981. He married Patty Hellwege and they have two beautiful children: Matthew, 21, a senior at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado; Bethel, 18, an accomplished gymnast, is a freshman at Colorado State in Fort Collins, Colorado.
In 1997, he married Shawn Gansemer and have Craig's youngest son, Colbin, a sophomore at Evergreen High School.
While in Colorado, Craig owned and operated Ticket Connection, a ticket brokerage company.
Craig was preceded by his grandmother, Bethel Shafer, his grandparents, Lewis and Juanita Higgins, and his younger brother, Michael.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 1, 2010 at the First Christian of Monticello 1699 N. State St, Monticello with Rev. Jim Dalrymple officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM, Sunday, February 28, 2010, at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Monticello or an organization of the donor's choice.
