Christine Roy Obituary
Christine Roy, 72 of Monticello, died at 12:00 A.M., Monday, March 10, 2008 at ManorCare Health Services in Champaign. Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, March 14, 2008 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Interment will be at a Goose Creek Township Cemetery in DeLand.
Christine was born November 2, 1935 in Russel County, KY., the daughter of Almond and Trelvis (Walters) Roy. Surviving is her son Michael Roy of Farmer City, four grandchildren, brother; Wayne Roy of Sedalia, KY., and sister; Claris Roy of Russel Springs, KY. Christine was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother (Philip).
Christine retired after working 46 years for General Cable in Monticello. She enjoyed sitting and watching her squirrels and hummingbirds.
Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
